Bio

I’ve always been an artist at heart and I’m inspired by all things creative. My passion for photography began nearly 30 years ago when I moved from the East Coast to Arizona.

While working on my Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design at Arizona State University, I took up hiking and was amazed by the beauty of the desert terrain, the summer monsoons, and the incredible sunsets. I started taking photos of everything—from the smallest desert bloom nestled in the arid ground, to vast open spaces rimmed by red rocks. The more I photographed, the more I wanted to explore.

In 2002, I relocated to Colorado. One look at the mountains and I knew I’d not only found my permanent home, but truly a photographer’s dream. I often find beauty in the unexpected: a gnarled tree trunk off the beaten path; a lone leaf that has survived an early snowfall; the delicate dance between a twisted pine and a dilapidated barn. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I did taking them.

“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place…I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
— Elliott Erwitt
